APPLICATION PRIVACY POLICY AGREEMENT

This Privacy Policy describes how SBLOCK Digital LLC (“SBLOCK,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information through our applications that integrate with third-party platforms. Each application and its platform-specific data practices are described below.


Facebook / Meta

SBLOCK Scout

Purpose: SBLOCK Scout is an automated topic research tool that scans public Facebook Page posts to identify trending topics and content signals relevant to technology, fintech, and software development.

Data collected:

  • Public post content (text) from Facebook Pages
  • Post metadata: creation timestamps, permalink URLs
  • Aggregate engagement metrics: reaction counts, comment counts, share counts

Data NOT collected:

  • No personally identifiable information (PII) of any Facebook user
  • No private messages, profiles, friend lists, or personal data
  • No user authentication data or login credentials from Facebook users
  • No data from private groups, private profiles, or non-public content

How data is used:

  • Public post text is analyzed to classify trending topics by category (e.g., AI, fintech, software engineering)
  • Engagement metrics are used solely to rank topic relevance and popularity
  • Results are used internally to guide blog topic selection for sblock.cc
  • No collected data is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising

Data retention: Scanned data is stored locally in a temporary configuration cache for up to 24 hours, after which it is overwritten by the next scan cycle. No long-term database of Facebook content is maintained.

API access: Uses the Facebook Graph API v21.0 with an App Access Token (server-to-server). No user login or OAuth user token is required or requested.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest in monitoring publicly available content trends for editorial planning purposes.


Google

SBLOCK YouTube Publisher

Purpose: Uploads video content created by SBLOCK to our own YouTube channel. Used exclusively for publishing our own content — not for accessing or collecting data from other YouTube users.

Data collected:

  • YouTube Data API v3 is used to upload videos, set titles, descriptions, tags, and privacy settings
  • Upload responses (video ID, URL) are stored for internal reference

Data NOT collected:

  • No viewer data, subscriber information, or analytics about YouTube users
  • No comments, likes, or personal data from any YouTube user

How data is used: Solely to publish and manage our own video content on our own YouTube channel.

API access: Uses YouTube Data API v3 with OAuth 2.0 credentials scoped to our own channel.

Legal basis: Content publishing on our own platform accounts.


Reddit

SBLOCK Scout — Reddit Scanner

Purpose: Scans public Reddit posts and comments to identify trending topics and discussion signals relevant to technology, fintech, cryptocurrency, and software development.

Data collected:

  • Public post titles, text content, and URLs from specified subreddits
  • Post metadata: scores, comment counts, creation timestamps, author usernames (public)
  • Subreddit names and post permalinks

Data NOT collected:

  • No private messages, user profiles, or personal account data
  • No data from private or quarantined subreddits
  • No authentication credentials from Reddit users
  • No voting, saving, or any write actions on behalf of any user

How data is used:

  • Public post content is analyzed to classify trending topics by hook type (how-to, data-driven, contrarian, etc.)
  • Engagement scores are used solely to rank topic relevance
  • Results guide internal editorial decisions for blog content on sblock.cc
  • No collected data is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising

Data retention: Scanned data is stored locally in a temporary configuration cache for up to 24 hours. No long-term database of Reddit content is maintained.

API access: Uses Reddit Data API via OAuth (read-only scope) or public JSON endpoints. The application operates as a read-only scanner and performs no write operations on Reddit.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest in monitoring publicly available content trends for editorial planning purposes.


WordPress (sblock.cc)

SBLOCK Content Publisher

Purpose: Publishes blog posts, uploads media, and manages content on our own WordPress website (sblock.cc).

Data collected:

  • WordPress REST API responses (post IDs, URLs, tag/category IDs)

Data NOT collected:

  • No visitor data, user comments, or analytics from website visitors
  • No third-party user information

How data is used: Solely to create, update, and manage content on our own website.

API access: WordPress REST API v2 with application password authentication to our own site.


OpenAI (DALL-E)

SBLOCK Image Generator

Purpose: Generates featured images for blog posts using the DALL-E 3 API.

Data sent to API:

  • Text prompts describing the desired image (derived from blog post topics)

Data NOT sent:

  • No personal data, user information, or third-party content

How data is used: Generated images are used as featured images on sblock.cc blog posts. No user data is involved in the generation process.


Hacker News (Y Combinator)

SBLOCK Scout — Hacker News Scanner

Purpose: Scans the public Hacker News API for trending stories relevant to technology and software development topics.

Data collected:

  • Public story titles, URLs, scores, and comment counts from the Hacker News API

Data NOT collected:

  • No user profiles, comments, or personal data from Hacker News users

How data is used: Story titles and engagement metrics are analyzed to identify trending topics for internal editorial planning. No data is republished or shared.

API access: Uses the public Hacker News API (no authentication required). Read-only access.


General Data Practices

Information We Collect

Our applications collect only publicly available information from third-party platforms as described above. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) from users of those platforms.

Data Storage & Security

  • All collected data is stored on secured, access-controlled servers
  • Temporary scan data is automatically overwritten within 24 hours
  • API credentials are stored in encrypted configuration files with restricted file permissions
  • No collected data is stored in publicly accessible locations

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share any collected data with third parties. Data is used exclusively for internal editorial and content planning purposes.

Children’s Privacy

Our applications do not collect data from or about children under 13 years of age. Our services are not directed at children.

Your Rights

If you believe any of your personal data has been collected by our applications, you have the right to:

  • Request access to any data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of any data related to you
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our applications constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.


Security

We take the security of data seriously. All API communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption. Access credentials are stored with restricted file permissions and are never exposed in client-side code or public repositories.

Acceptance of Terms

By using this website, you are hereby accepting the terms and conditions stipulated within the Privacy Policy Agreement. If you are not in agreement with our terms and conditions, then you should refrain from further use of our sites. In addition, your continued use of our website following the posting of any updates or changes to our terms and conditions shall mean that you agree and acceptance of such changes.
